Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms govern your use of BolWise, provided by Shivabhi Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India under the Companies Act 2013 (CIN U62011GJ2026PTC183538) and trading as "BolWise" ("we", "us", "our"), with its registered office at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. By using BolWise you agree to these Terms and enter a binding contract with us. You must be at least 18.

Privacy and Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information. We commit to these guarantees: (1) your audio and transcripts are not used to train or improve AI models, (2) your audio and transcripts are not retained on our servers — they are processed transiently and discarded, and your dictation history stays on your own device, and (3) we retain only your account identifier and the usage metadata needed to run your subscription, secure the service, and enforce fair use. These guarantees will not change without prior notice.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland you have rights under the GDPR. If you are in India you have rights under the DPDP Act. If you are in California you have rights under the CCPA. All are described in our Privacy Policy.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. Accounts are for one person — BolWise signs you out of your previous computer when you sign in on a new one. We may disable accounts that violate these Terms.

Plans and Payments

BolWise has two plans:

• Free trial — 30 minutes of dictation to use over 14 days, no card required. The trial ends when either limit is reached, whichever comes first.
• Pro — unlimited dictation, subject to the Fair Use section below. Current pricing is shown on bolwise.com and in the app.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel, and we notify you before each renewal. You may cancel at any time from your account page on bolwise.com and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We may change prices on notice.

Pro is sold by Shivabhi Technologies Private Limited trading as BolWise. Card payments are processed by Razorpay, which is our payment processor and not the seller. We are the seller on your invoice, collect any applicable tax, and process refunds. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Fair Use

"Unlimited" means unlimited normal use by one human being. It does not mean unlimited machine capacity.

BolWise runs on paid processing infrastructure, and we apply fair-use and rate limits per account to keep it available and affordable for everyone. These limits reflect ordinary interactive use and may be adjusted over time. We monitor usage volume — not content — and may throttle, suspend, or disable access for usage that exceeds fair-use limits or that we reasonably determine to be automated, shared, resold, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms.

You will see how much you have dictated in the app's Account panel, and we will show you a notice there well before any of this becomes relevant. Where practical we will contact you before taking action.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Record anyone without the consent the law where you are requires. Recording laws vary by country and state, and having the right to record any voice you dictate is your responsibility.
• Use BolWise for anything illegal, or to create content that is defamatory, harassing, or infringing.
• Access our backend or API by any automated, scripted, programmatic, or bulk means, including running the app unattended or in batch mode.
• Use our transcription and language services other than through normal, interactive use of the app by a human.
• Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or give any third party access to our services.
• Share your account, or create multiple accounts to extend a free trial or bypass limits.
• Circumvent, disable, or overload any rate limit, quota, or usage control.
• Reverse engineer or extract the app's source code, except where law expressly permits.
• Attempt unauthorised access to our systems, or interfere with other users' access.

Accuracy of Output

BolWise produces automated output and can make mistakes. It may mishear words, transcribe inaccurately, or refine text in ways you did not intend. Review anything BolWise produces before you rely on it, send it, or publish it. Do not use it as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

The Software and Its Availability

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use BolWise on computers you own or control while your account is in good standing. The app updates itself automatically so you have current fixes and security patches.

All intellectual property in BolWise — the software, name, logo, and website — belongs to us. You may not use our trademarks without written permission.

We aim to keep BolWise available but do not promise uninterrupted service, and there is no uptime guarantee on any plan. BolWise is early-stage software and features may change.

Termination

You may stop using BolWise and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we reasonably suspect a violation, or if we are required to by law. Where we terminate for your violation, you are not entitled to a refund except where law requires one. If we discontinue BolWise entirely, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.

On termination your licence ends and you must stop using the app. Your local history stays on your computer.

Disclaimer of Warranties

BolWise is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that transcription will be accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the consumer-protection laws of your country.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gandhinagar, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction. Please email us before starting formal proceedings — most things are faster to fix that way. Nothing in this section overrides non-waivable rights you have under your local consumer-protection law, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Severability, Waiver, and Entire Agreement

If any provision is held unenforceable it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce something is not a waiver of it. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between us. You may not transfer these Terms. BolWise was operated by Siddharth Thathagar as a sole proprietorship until 11 September 2026, when Shivabhi Technologies Private Limited was incorporated to operate it; these Terms, your account, and the obligations owed to you under them passed to the company on that date, as the previous version of these Terms provided for. We may transfer these Terms again to a successor in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the business, on notice to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and email you at least 30 days before material changes take effect.
